On May 28th the Bavarian Championships took place in Pfuhl (Neu-Ulm). The SB DJK Würzburg was represented by Julius Hartrich in the 19+ age group. In the championship class, which is about qualifying for the German championships, he was among the front runners and showed very good performances. As a result, Hartrich fought his way into fourth place with 71.75 points.
Due to injury, optimal preparation was not possible. That’s why the Würzburger had to resort to an easier exercise on the floor, for example. Above all on parallel bars, however, he delivered an exercise at the highest level and received 12,550 points for this. Hartrich was looked after and supported by his training partners and trainers Jakob Glück and Paul Stöhr.
At the same time as the Bavarian championship, the male Bayern Cup was taking place in Unterföhring. The two DJK gymnasts Leo Hien and Julian Burzer were also part of the party. Hien put in a flawless competition in the 16/17 age group and eventually clinched 1st place with a score of 73,900 points and a comfortable 4,500 point margin over the runner-up. Hien demonstrated his skills especially on floor (13.8 points), high bar (12.1) and parallel bars (13.5) and achieved the daily highest score of all age groups on all three devices.
Qualified for the Germany Cup
His teammate Burzer started in the 18+ age group and also presented an excellent competition. In the end he ended up in 3rd place with 67,100 points. He showed convincing exercises especially on the horizontal bar and on the horse and received the highest rating in his age group there.

Both gymnasts qualified for the Germany Cup and will represent the Bavarian gymnastics team on July 10th in Waging am See. They were supported by their coaches Annika Öttinger and Jonas Andre.
First league competition after the Corona break
After a long Corona break of almost two years, the DJK Würzburg gymnasts finally showed their performance again in the first league competition in Unterföhring. In the state league, Paul Stöhr, Tim Rappel, Jeton Ibrahimi, Julian Burzer, Constantin Will, Thomas Nagel, Marcel Wanner, Tim Nees and Florian Schulz took fourth place, just 0.650 points behind second place. The DJK gymnasts had nerves of steel, especially on the pommel horse shaking device, and received the highest overall score in the competition class with 46,850 points. Paul Stöhr also secured third place in the individual ranking.
The gymnasts of DJK Würzburg 1 in the regional league offered what is necessary to achieve second place. Lukas Hien, Tim Brand, Jakob Glück, Leo Hien and Nils Buchter consistently showed consistent and safe performances on all six apparatus and achieved a total of 292,500 Points the silver medal of the first day of competition. Lukas Hien was also able to secure a stair place in the individual ranking with third place. Julius Hartrich, Sascha Wilhelm, Annika Öttinger and Jonas Andre were responsible for the tactics and support of both teams.
