Würzburg district: Police blow up illegal party

The pizza came too late: On May 8th, 2021 around 11.30 p.m., the Ochsenfurt police discovered several people who were in a shelter during a patrol at the sports field in Goßmannsdorf am Main (Würzburg district).

When the police car approached, some of these people fled immediately, the police reported. However, some people stayed on site. Upon closer inspection of the shelter, the officers also found that it was obviously being used for a celebration, as there were numerous alcoholic beverages and loudspeakers there. A small amount of narcotics was also found.

During the police check, a pizza delivery boy arrived, who announced that he had previously received an order to deliver several pizzas to the sports field.

During the inspection, the refugees’ personal belongings, which revealed the identity of these people, were seized. After clarifying the situation on site, in addition to the violation of the Narcotics Act, there was also an illegal gathering of people according to the current status of the Infection Protection Act.

The “party” was dissolved, the objects left behind by the refugees were seized to secure their property.

Further violations according to the Infection Protection Act

There were also violations of the Infection Protection Act elsewhere on Saturday. During a patrol by PI Ochsenfurt, a six-person group of people in Ochsenfurt in the area of the train station was found that violated the current version of the Infection Protection Act (gathering of more than 5 people from different households). When they saw the patrol car, the group initially fled. However, three of the six young people could be stopped and checked. Administrative offense proceedings were initiated against the six young people for violating the Infection Protection Act.

A “beer excursion” by a fraternity was held the same day against
1.45 p.m. in Ochsenfurt at the level of the Old Main Bridge. Another group of six people traveled through Ochsenfurt with handcarts and plenty of beer. All six people ran close together and wore connecting sashes. The inspection revealed that it was an illegal gathering of more than five people from several households. Here too, reports of administrative offenses are drawn up against those involved.
