Würzburg: 3 euros for 10 hours parking on the…

The parking fees on the Talavera have been discussed for days, and now Würzburg’s Mayor Christian Schuchardt and SPD parliamentary group leader Alexander Kolbow are introducing an amendment.

Under the motto “No immature and unbalanced management of the Talavera”, the previously planned mobility package “Better living in Bischofshut” is to be adapted. Parking on the Talavera should cost a maximum of three euros – if the parking time is not more than 10 hours. This should primarily benefit commuters, but also visitors to the city.

In addition, the parking ticket should serve as a P&R ticket for short trips. This means that a trip from Talavera and the Alter Hafen car park by public transport would already be included in the price for parking there.

According to the application, anyone who parks for a maximum of one hour should pay EUR 1.5, over 10 hours each additional hour costs EUR 1 extra up to a maximum of EUR 10.

In addition, a monthly tariff without a public transport ticket is to be set up.
