JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – Vice President’s wife Ma’ruf Amin, Wury Estu Handayani, asked the community to cooperate with the government to prevent this pneumonia in Indonesian children.

The reason is, he said, currently pneumonia is still a threat to Indonesian children and is one of the main causes of under-five mortality.

In preventing pneumonia in children, he said, parents must provide exclusive breastfeeding for six months, quality complementary foods (complementary foods), and continue breastfeeding for at least two years.

Then complete the immunization, go to a health facility if the child is sick, and ensure the child’s nutritional adequacy, live a clean healthy life, and monitor the child’s growth and development.
