LAKE CHARLES—McNeese women’s tennis picked up a 6-1 win over Dillard here Friday at the Nancy Hank Tennis Center to improve to 8-2 on the season.
McNeese won the doubles point to take a 1-0 lead. The Cowgirls continued their dominance in singles play where they won five out of the six matches.
Maria Wang Martinez, Ariane Monlleo Sanchis won their matches to extend the Cowgirl lead to 3-0 before Luna Jokanovic won her match at No. 6 singles to clinch the overall match. Tiana Fox and Natalia Ballo also won their matches for the fifth and sixth Cowgirl point.
The Cowgirls will take an eight day break and will return to the court to host Stephen F. Austin next Saturday, March 11.
