Beautiful victory of Lucia Bronzetti who for the first time in his career wins a match in a WTA 1000 tournament.
The blue, fished out as lucky loser, defeated at the debut of the tournament WTA 1000 of Miami, Ajla Tomljanovic class 1993 and n.39 WTA with the result of 46 76 (6) 62 after 2 hours and 52 minutes of the match.
In the second round Lucia Bronzetti will challenge her own Camila Giorgi in an all-Italian derby.
It should be noted that in the first set Lucia ahead by 3 to 1 from that moment underwent a partial of four consecutive games with the Australian who moved on to 5 to 3 before closing the first fraction for 6 to 4 after keeping at 15 the last serving game of the set.
In the second set, Bronzetti, after having recovered a break twice, on 4 equal – 15-40, was good at a tender serve after having canceled two delicate break points.
We went to the tiebreak and here the blue managed to cancel a match point at 5 to 6 before placing a mini set of three consecutive points and winning the second set by 8 to 6 points.
In the third set the blue moved to 4 to 1, with a double break and after having canceled three consecutive counter-break balls in the second game from 0-40.
After losing the serve in the sixth game, from 4 to 2, Lucia won eight of the nine points available, winning the game by 6 to 2.
