WTA 1000 Indian Wells: Camila Giorgi stopped by Amanda Anisimova

Camila Giorgi out in the second round in the tournament WTA 1000 at Indian Wells.
The 29-year-old from Macerata, 38 in the world ranking and 30th seeded (“bye” in the first round), in what was her debut match was defeated by 64 61, in an hour and 23 minutes of game, from the US Amanda Anisimova, n.81 WTA.

Camila in the first set lost the bar in the opening game, which lasted the beauty of 16 minutes and with eleven equal situations, to then place the immediate counter-break and go up 2-1. Anisimova with another “break” overtook (3-2), a break confirmed for the 4-2, but Camila reacted and with one game on the serve won to zero and a turn of really effective responses she returned to a tie on 4 even. However, the number of errors by Giorgi remained too high and she gave up the serve again in the ninth game and this time the American took advantage of the opportunity by forfeiting the fraction 6-4 with an ace after almost an hour of play.

In the second set Camila gave up the bar in the first and third game with the American who went on 4 to 0.
The blue on 1 to 5 lost once again the service with Amanda winning the match by 6 to 1 at the fourth match ball available and with an aggressive response on the match ball that led Camila to forced error.
