Alex Lowes will compete in the 2022 World Superbike race at the Pertamina Mandalika circuit, West Nusa Tenggara, from 11 to 13 November. He felt that the air temperature at the Mandalika circuit would be warmer than the race in Europe.
“The race will be hotter than usual in Europe, but we are not as worried as we have experience,” said Alex Lowes in Central Jakarta on Monday (7/11/2022).
Even so, Alex, who has joined the Kawasaki Racing Team at WSBK since 2020, praised the Mandalika Circuit for being one of the most beautiful tracks in the world.
“Yes, the layout of this track (Mandalika Circuit) is very nice,” he said.

The Mandalika circuit also received an improvement path thanks to the modification of the curb and the repaving using a new formula.
The Mandalika Circuit continues to make improvements and improvements in a number of aspects. At the request of the Federation Internationale de Motocyclisme (FIM), the circuit plant, located in the center of Lombok, in West Nusa Tenggara, carried out a track improvement which was completed on 25 October.
The track improvement carried out aims to improve the quality of the main track. This work includes widening the drainage ramp to 7 curves, replacing the regular curb in a 250-meter misano curb, as well as improving the asphalt quality of the 250-meter main runway.
“We hope that later what is supplied (after repairs) is also good. And the weekend race will also have good results,” hoped Alex Lowes.
