Wrong: If Liverpool Wanted Me To Leave…

Liverpool

Mohamed Salah said money was not an obstacle to the process of negotiating new contracts in Liverpool. But, he is ready to leave if the club wants him.

Salah’s stay at Anfield is only one year left, aka 2023. However, until now there has been no sign that it will be extended.

It’s not that Liverpool don’t want to, because talks have been carried out since the end of last year and have not reached a meeting point. There is still a tug-of-war between Salah, his agent and the club regarding the duration and amount of his salary.

There are reports that Salah is asking for a salary of around 400 thousand pounds per week or around Rp. 7.1 billion per week. Meanwhile, Liverpool are only able to increase their bids to 300-350 thousand pounds per week.

Because Liverpool do not want to violate club rules regarding the salary limit for players aged 30 years and over. Salah himself will turn 30 in June.

However, Salah has denied that money is not the reason for the stalling of the negotiation process. There are many things that Salah considers before accepting a new contract.

“I’m still not sure about my future at Liverpool, there’s still a year left. I think the fans know what I want, but money isn’t everything in these contract talks. So I don’t know at all. I can’t really explain to you. I have a year left on my contract and the fans know what I want,” Salah told FourFourTwo.

Salah is already at home in Liverpool, which he considers as a second family. However, the Egyptian player is also aware that the final decision is in the hands of the club.

If Liverpool want to sell him this summer, so as not to lose him for free, then Salah accepts it gracefully.

“Yes, it’s possible (I stay next season). But, it’s a different story if they want me to leave,” continued Mohamed Salah.
