The writer’s and poet’s debut music album includes songs with poems created by her and other poets (Velga Krile, Jānis Baltvilks, Olafs Gūtmanis, Aspazija, Arnis Mincenhofs and Dita Putniņa). In advance Jana Egle often participated in various singing events. The music album “Landscape with a Lonely Tree” will be available both in CD format and digitally on music streaming platforms.

Jana Egle: “The only real framework and content of the songs I create is poetry. Poetry is always first. Sometimes I want to share it all with others, at times it seems that even the poetry of notable authors in the everyday world is too imperceptible, so I have sung eleven poems by poets important to me in my melodies.

Jana Egle (voice), Simona Rača (voice, piano), Jānis Rūcis (voice, bass guitar, guitar), Kristīne Ērgle (flute), Marta Rozentāle (cello), Edgars Jānis Kānis will take part in the presentation concert of the music album “Landscape with a Lonely Tree” (saxophone), but the recordings also include Tamāra Paure (accordion) and Andris Ērglis (percussion). Song arrangements have been made by the author of melodies in collaboration with musicians. The singer’s son Jānis Rūcis, as well as Simona Rača, have made a great contribution to the song finishing. The song album was made in the recording studio “Wiktorijas skaņu ieraksti” in Liepaja in the summer of 2020.
