Wrath of the Titans

Desmond Davies (UK, 1981, DVD, 118′, TE)

Thu December 14, 4:00 p.m. and Wed December 27, 6:30 p.m.

When the king of Argos is about to sacrifice his daughter Danae and his grandson Perseus, Zeus (the child’s father) decides to save them and raze the city. Perseus grows up happy until the goddess Thetis, to take revenge on Zeus, who has punished her son Calibos with a horrible deformity, kidnaps him and abandons him to his fate. Upon hearing the news, Zeus orders the other gods to offer his son gifts that will allow him to defend himself: a sword capable of cutting stone, a helmet that makes him invisible, and a shield that makes him invulnerable. With these weapons he heads to the city of Joppa, whose princess is the victim of a curse. (FILMAFINITY)
