WoW’s playtime purchase option change serves no one but Blizzard

Blizzard World of warcraft is one of the most popular games of its kind and is played by millions of people around the world. However, WoW is also one of the few MMOs that still requires players to purchase new expansions in addition to paying a monthly fee for access to the game. A recent change to World of Warcraft’s playtime payment options is causing controversy, and for good reason, as it’s making this outdated payment system even more restrictive.
