Deputy Minister of Health (Wamenkes) Dante Saksono Harbuwono said there were 1,625 people who were included in the black category on the PeduliLindung application, but tried to carry out public activities such as malls. The black color is to mark positive COVID-19 patients or close contacts.
“It has been conveyed by the Coordinating Minister (Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan) that we have succeeded in capturing 1,625 cases,” said Dante at a press conference, Monday (6/9/2021).
Dante said thousands of these people were known to be COVID-19 positive patients or who had close contacts.
“These are those who were not previously known or had been previously known to suffer from COVID-19 or were in close contact but they are still roaming this street mainly because they have been detected in the trade sector, especially when they are about to enter the mall,” he explained.
For this reason, he reminded people who are active in public places to be aware of this by using the PeduliLindung application.
“So it is very important to protect by carrying out this protective care to keep the community from making close contact,” he said.
