Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – Oppo has finally officially launched its foldable phone, the Find N. The price is also much cheaper than Samsung’s Galaxy Fold.
The price of the Oppo Find N starts at around 7999 yuan (Rp. 18 million) and is sold in China from 23 December. This price is lower than the Galaxy Z Fold 3 when it was sold in Singapore for 2,398 Singapore dollars (Rp 25.2 million), quoted from Straits Times, Monday (20/12/2021).
Oppo Find N comes with a 5.5-inch screen on the outside, and when opened, it unfolds a 7.1-inch screen.
The Find N’s inner display supports an adjustable refresh rate. This means that you can speed up when needed and slow down with a static image to save battery. In addition, Oppo claims that its new phone has almost no folds on the inside.

Oppo said the hinge of the phone was specially designed to avoid the problems faced by the first generation Samsung Galaxy Fold. The company promises the Find N will last more than 200,000 times when opened and closed.
Other specifications are support for 5G and Wi-fi 6, wireless charging, storage up to 512GB, and use the Snapdragon 888 chipset.
The presence of the Find N has made Oppo enter the foldable phone market along with two other giants, Samsung and Huawei Technologies. Motorola Lenovo Group also joined in last year with a foldable version of the Razr and Xiaomi also introduced its products earlier this year.
It looks like next year will be even busier, with Samsung’s competitors launching their flagship foldable phone to the market. Samsung itself is getting strong sales with the Galaxy Z Flip 3.
“Competitive device makers seem to be hoping to build on Samsung’s efforts to market to the Z-Flip and Z-Fold models. We’re going to see a lot of foldable smartphones in 2022,” explains CCS Insight’s head of analysis, Ben Wood.
