Bisnis.com, JAKARTA – PT Mega Corpora has announced the plan to acquire PT Bank Harda Internasional Tbk. However, it turns out that the company owned by the conglomerate Chairul Tanjung will also buy shares in another bank.
The bank is PT Bank Bengkulu, which is currently trying to meet the deadline for the fulfillment of a minimum core capital of IDR 1 trillion by the end of 2020. Bank Bengkulu is optimistic that it will be able to fulfill this requirement through the sale of shares to Mega Corpora.
As of June 30, 2020, the main core capital of Bank Bengkulu is worth IDR 822.47 billion. That way, the company needs around IDR177.53 billion to meet these requirements.
The latest development, Mega Corpora has made a presentation in front of the shareholders of Bank Bengkulu in mid-September yesterday. The CT-owned company has also conducted due diligent.
Head of the Corporate Secretary Division of Bank Bengkulu Fanny Irfansyah said the process of selling shares to Mega Corpora was still going on as originally planned. The company is optimistic that this corporate action will be successful.
The sale of shares to Mega Corpora is the company’s priority to be able to meet the provisions of POJK 12/2020, which deadline is less than two months.
