Reported from Himedik.com, a 61-year-old British man suffers from facial paralysis after an injection Pfizer Covid-19 Vaccine. Therefore, Pfizer vaccine was also associated with the risk of Bell’s palsy.
Previously, this man had no history of facial nerve palsy. However, this man actually experienced facial paralysis on the right side of the face after 5 hours of injecting the Pfizer vaccine.
Two days after receiving the second injection of Pfizer’s vaccine, the patient began to develop more severe Bell’s plasy on the left side of his face.

The results of blood tests and CT scans taken during the patient’s first episode did not show any alarming signs.
When the patient started receiving two doses of Pfizer vaccine 6 weeks later, he developed more severe facial nerve paralysis.
Symptoms include difficulty swallowing and difficulty covering the left eye completely. Then, the patient came to the ER and was prescribed steroids before being referred to the Emergency Ear and Nose Clinic.
“The occurrence of facial paralysis immediately after injecting the Covid-19 vaccine indicates that Bell’s palsy is related to the Pfizer vaccine, although the cause and effect relationship is not clear,” the doctor said in the journal BMJ Case Reports quoted from Express.
Bell’s palsy is associated with inflammation and swelling of the facial nerve, because the buildup or buildup due to a virus causes weakness or paralysis on one side of the face.
