Wounded boy (16) found in water after kidnapping from Breda | Inland

The boy got into a car around 7 p.m. after a visit to the supermarket on Kesterenlaan, it is unknown how many people were in the car. It is still unclear whether the boy entered voluntarily or under light coercion, according to a police spokeswoman. It is clear that the car then drove away against the will of the victim. The boy from Breda says he drove past an industrial estate, presumably this was at the Nikkelstraat in Breda.

The police in Rotterdam received a report around 9.15 pm of an injured boy in the water at the Waterweg near Hoek van Holland. It turned out to be the kidnapped boy. It is unclear exactly how long he has been in the water, but according to the police spokeswoman “you can imagine that the water in September is quite cold and not pleasant.”

The car is presumably a black Volkswagen Golf. The police are looking for witnesses who saw the car between 6.30 pm and 7 pm at Kesterenlaan or Nikkelstraat. More people may be arrested, police said.
