How important is the attention of STRANGERS to you on social platforms like tiktok, Insta, Twitter, Facebook etc? How important are likes to you?
There are people who would do anything for likes on social networks.
I admit, I can and could never understand this need. Especially since I’ve been reporting everywhere now because it’s not important to me.
If people you know in real life like and comment positively on the posts, it is still understandable. It’s nice when there is positive feedback. But how does it make you feel when people who live on the other side of the world do it? Who are complete strangers to you? How or why is it so important for some people to receive likes from strangers? You don’t really care about strangers, do you?
I came to this question because I just watched a program where an older man (74) talked about how he got likes on Instagram because of his dazzling clothing style and how it made him feel younger.
Why can likes from completely insignificant strangers make us so happy?
