would the choice of plastic be aberrant for you?

For its classic Galaxy Note 20, Samsung would have opted for a plastic back and not glass. A choice which detonates, but which could be justified. What do you think of this material on a high-end smartphone? This is our poll of the week.

This week, rather complete overviews of the next high-end smartphones from Samsung could be given to us thanks to the indiscretions of our neighbors of the WinFuture site. The German site has indeed published the complete technical data sheets Galaxy Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra.

Among the differences, we find as expected different photo modules, screens that change from one model to another, but also a different back. Indeed, according to information from the WinFuture site, the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra will benefit from a Gorilla Glass back, probably the new Victus version from Corning, while the classic Galaxy Note 20 would have a back … plastic.

A choice of material that may have surprised more than one, especially since it has been many years since manufacturers have abandoned plastic on the high end, preferring glass, ceramic or vegan leather. However, in just a few years, brands have made great strides in plastic backs of their smartphones, especially in mid-range. In some cases, it is almost impossible to visually distinguish whether a coating is glass or plastic. Plastic also has the advantage of being stronger and lighter than glass and, unlike metal, does not present any concern for induction charging.

A plastic back that would be prohibitive?

So we logically come to our question this week: would you be shocked that Samsung offers a plastic back on its Galaxy Note 20? This is our poll of the week.
