“Would like to play English weeks now”

The close promotion race of the 2nd Bundesliga is heading for a heart-stopping final. With the remaining five match days, seven teams are still battling for a spot in the top three. Werder Bremen wants to defend its current second place. Leonardo Bittencourt is very optimistic about this.

“I’m sure we’ll get promoted. We’ll be top notch next year,” the midfielder promised Bild newspaper. The German-Brazilian is not afraid of failure. On the contrary, Bittencourt literally has bumblebees up his ass. “In the last few weeks we have knelt down that we now have the opportunity to get promoted. It’s pure anticipation. I would love to play English weeks now,” said the 28-year-old, who remained loyal to the club after relegation .
