The 81st annual Golden Globe Awards ceremony was held in California, and as usual, celebrities walked the red carpet before the awards ceremony. While the stars wore bold and attractive looks, some of them made a mistake in choosing their clothes.

Actress Molly Sims wore a floor-length one-shoulder dress with oversized floral details and an extravagant train from the Georges Chakra Couture Fall/Winter 2023-2024 collection.
Sims’ hair was styled in a low bun and she accessorized with a gold Jeffrey Levinson clutch and diamond earrings from Norman Silverman, Sims said on her Instagram account.
The ensemble was definitely eye-catching, but the dress had too many distracting details and would have worked better with smaller floral details.

Helen Mirren wore a purple dress with a ruffled waist and puff sleeves and a floor-length purple coat. She completed her look with silver open-toe heels, a matching handbag, a diamond necklace and diamond drop earrings.
The dress was a bold choice, and Mirren should be applauded for bringing a pop of color to the red carpet. However, the frilly fabric and large sleeves would have been more appropriate for a costume than a formal outfit.

Elle Fanning wore a 1960s strapless dress with a bow and balloon skirt from the Balmain Archives collection, with a diamond necklace and matching earrings from Cartier, the actress’ designer Samantha McMillen wrote on her Instagram account.
The ivory dress oozed elegance, but a warmer color would have stood out more on the red carpet.
Jennifer Aniston’s black strapless dress was forgettable

Jennifer Aniston’s custom Dolce & Gabbana dress features a strapless neckline and a floor-length sequined skirt, according to the brand’s Instagram post . The dress was very simple and forgettable, especially compared to the array of bold looks at the awards show.
However, one notable detail in Aniston’s look was her hairstyle. Several media outlets, including People, Bazaar, and Harper’s, reported that the actress’s short hairstyle and side parting were reminiscent of the “Rachel,” a choppy haircut worn by Aniston’s character on the 1990s TV series “Friends.”
Jared Leto’s costume would have been better without the gloves

Actor Jared Leto wore an oversized jacket with no shirt underneath, baggy white pants, heeled shoes, and leather gloves.
While the outfit stood out among the many tuxedos, the different elements did not go well with each other. The ensemble could have looked more put together and thinking if the pants were the same color as the jacket and if Leto had ditched the gloves would have been better.
Riley Keough’s Chanel dress was more appropriate for a wedding than an awards show

Actress Riley Keough wore a floor-length lace dress with a flowing train from the Chanel Haute Couture Spring 2023 collection. The strapless dress was paired with a sheer overlay that had gold sequin detailing at the neckline.
Although the dress was beautiful, it seemed more appropriate for a wedding than a red carpet event.

The dress was embroidered with flowers that matched the cream-and-pink floral backdrop on the red carpet, although it is not known if this was a deliberate choice on Stone’s part.
The dress was a sophisticated choice, but it didn’t appear at the ceremony and instead faded into the background permanently.
