Annemarie Worst won the Exact Cross on Saturday in Sint-Niklaas, Belgium. The Dutch stayed ahead of her compatriots Ceylin del Carmen Alvarado (second) and Lucinda Brand (third).
The 27-year-old Worst drove away from her competitors two laps before the end and crossed the finish line solo. At the start of the final lap, Worst already had a lead of twenty seconds over her competitors, who were no longer able to catch her back.
Denise Betsema (fourth), Manon Bakker (fifth) and Aniek van Alphen (sixth) ensured that the complete top six consisted of Dutch women. It is the second victory of this month for Worst. She also won the Parkcross Maldegem.
In the men’s race, Belgian Laurens Sweeck won. The Crelan-Fristads rider reached the finish line together with Lars van der Haar and beat the Dutch champion of Baloise-Trek Lions in the sprint.
