Worrying conditions in the home of family members tortured by couples in West Bandung

Jakarta

A home assistant (ART) who was tortured by her employer, Rohimah, has now returned to her hometown, Kampung Nangor, Pangeureunan village, Balubur Limbangan district, Garut, West Java (West Java). The conditions of Rohimah’s house in the village are deplorable.

Reported detik Jabar, Friday (11/4/2022), Rohimah lives in a rickety hut behind her parents’ house. The conditions of her parents ‘home are better than Rohimah’s because her parents’ home is included in the Uninhabitable House (Rutilahu) program.

The house is made of bamboo cabins with tiled roofs. There are a number of wide open parts of the house. The house in which Rohimah lives is shaped like a house on stilts.

A number of holes appear to be repaired using sacks, but others are left alone. Rohimah’s sister Abdul Majid (32) explained that since Rohimah had emigrated to Bandung, she was the one who occupied her house.

A number of regional officials who visited Rohimah’s home were stunned when they saw his condition. Deputy Regent Garut Helmi Budiman, who had visited there recently, said that Rohimah’s house was not suitable to be occupied.

“We are working on it, we hope that assistance in the construction of housing by the Indonesian Ministry of Social Affairs can be realized,” Helmi recently told reporters.
