The research confirms the significance of worldwide agreements to mitigate international warming. HCFCs have been developed to interchange chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs). Though the manufacturing of CFCs was banned globally in 2010, the manufacturing and use of HCFCs is being phased out.
“The outcomes are very encouraging. They spotlight the significance of building and adhering to worldwide protocols,” says lead creator Luke Western, a Marie Curie Fellow on the College of Bristol’s College of Chemistry.
