Gosiame Thamara Sithole, 37, from South Africa, gave birth to ten babies on Monday night. With this, the new mother makes it into the Guinness Book of World Records for the largest pregnancy.

With this she pushes 25-year-old Halima Cissé from Mali from the throne. In March of this year, she gave birth to nineteen children in a Moroccan hospital, until recently the largest pregnancy in the Guinness Book of World Records.
When Gosiame found out she was pregnant and went to the hospital for her first scans, she was told she was expecting sextuplets. That number was increased to eight as the pregnancy progressed. Two children were hiding behind their brothers and sisters.
The news came as a shock to the store manager, who said he became pregnant naturally, as she and her husband already had six-year-old twins. “I didn’t believe it. I doubted it. I was sure it was going to be twins or triplets, that’s all. But when the doctor told me, I had to swallow. And even when I looked at the scans, I didn’t believe it,” Gosiame said.
