Customers will not receive their new Kodiaqs until the spring of next year, but the world’s first configurator is already available. It shows that even at the basic price the equipment is very rich, but you have to settle for the plastic strip between the rear lights.
The Škoda Auto representative office in Germany launched the configurator for the new Škoda Kodiaq. We therefore went to investigate how the car looks for the money, currently advertised as “price from”. This is 45,500 euros in Germany, i.e. 1.114 million crowns – a little more than what the Kodiaq should start at in the Czech Republic.
Here, the automaker has published the only price so far, which is exactly 1.04 million crowns. For this, the customer gets a two-liter turbodiesel with 110 kW, which drives the front wheels through a seven-speed DSG. The cheapest Kodiaq in Germany is technically identical; you can pay extra for all-wheel drive, namely 4,200 euros, i.e. 103 thousand crowns.
In both cases, it is the Selection equipment version, which includes a complete suite of driving assistants and security guards, three-zone air conditioning, front and rear parking sensors, a reversing camera, a host of airbags, including the central one between the front passengers, keyless entry and start, LED headlights at both ends of the car, 18″ alloy wheels, electrically adjustable and folding mirrors, height-adjustable front seats, electric child lock, 10″ infotainment display, second display in place of the instrument panel or wireless smartphone mirroring.
For the mentioned 18″ wheels, there is a choice of two different design versions in the basic price, on the other hand, you have to settle for the Energy blue color. Also, the strip connecting the rear lamps is not red, but made of black plastic, as well as the trim of the D-pillars.
