Bomb discovery on Wednesday evening in Babenhausen: A World War II bomb was found on the former barracks site on Aschaffenburger Straße at around 8:55 p.m. Due to the condition of the explosive device, it had to be defused this evening, said Max Grychta from the city of Babenhausen when asked. At around 1 a.m. the reassuring news came via the “Katwarn” warning app: the bomb had been successfully defused.
