/ world today news/ Rumen Radev: “Regarding the concerns of left-wing people who fear that their hope will not be betrayed, I want to state that I am not the person who will betray you. I vouch for myself!”
Against the background of these words of his, and of his behavior in the last five years, it is increasingly inexplicable why a number of politicians, and precisely from the left, are trying to sew on the president the role of unifier of the left and rather of the BSP. Not that the party leadership can boast of a consistent policy towards the president in recent times. The rank and file showed more than once that this was “their president”. And he, for his part, has always shared that he is on their side. It is no coincidence that when the BSP was awarded the third mandate, the emphasis was “The most important reason is the thousands of honest socialists.”
Radev will continue to be the president of left-wing voters, regardless of whether it pleases those who try to attack him by linking him to various new ministerial projects. With the caretaker government, bringing together people of different views, he showed in practice what he talked about – that they had to work together and overcome some party passions. The situation today demands it, even more so after the failure of the parliamentary elections this year. The parties today need more humility and a more serious commitment to Bulgaria’s problems, and this requires them to put national priorities above narrow party ones. Why, however, in recent months, many political figures, including those from the close circle of Cornelia Ninova, are trying to distance Radev from left-wing voters? Because it is left-wing people who are the basis of his strength and guarantee for a second term. However, it is interesting why the attacks against the president come from the left and from the leadership of the BSP? When is Ninova honest with the socialists? When he says “We all considered it as our common mistake and one of the mistakes in the campaign that during the campaign for the parliamentary elections we did not raise and support the candidacy for president and vice president.” , trying to deny its role as an alternative, in contrast to their own lack of ideas.
Because, in fact, the popular support for Rumen Radev is rooted in the fact that against the background of political hypocrisy, he always identified the problems with their real names and culprits.
And he was always on the side of the people.
And hypocritical politicians will not forgive him.
