Tenjen Lama Sherpa, who set a world record together with Kristin Harila, is missing after an avalanche on a mountain in China.
Harila herself reports that Facebook-side write Northern Lights.
– Our thoughts and prayers go out to Lama and his family, writes Harila.
The avalanche occurred on Shishapangma in southeast China on Saturday. The mountain is not far from the border with Nepal. Harila says that she herself has traveled to Kathmandu to participate in the search.
The two climbers set a world record together when they climbed all 14 mountains over 8,000 meters in 92 days.
