A world star is on holiday in Bavaria and gets lost on the way to the lake. In a video he describes his mistaken journey back to the hotel.

Munich – Bavaria, with its beautiful cities such as Munich, Nuremberg and Regensburg and its numerous lakes (including Chiemsee, Eibsee and Tegernsee) as well as the Alps, is a magnet for tourists from all over the world. A star from the USA also wanted to take a look at the Free State – and got completely lost.

“I don’t know where I am”: Star presenter from America gets lost in Bavaria

“I’m in Bavaria right now,” says Jimmy Fallon, US late-night show host, in a six-minute-long video on TikTok titled “Storytime of how I got lost in Bavaria.” He uses the hashtags #solotravel and #bavaria. He wanted to take a walk from his hotel to the lake. He does not reveal which body of water he is talking about. He first walked into town, but couldn’t find the lake, so at some point he decided to go back. “I just kept walking,” he says in the video. At one point he even ended up in a private garden. But at some point he was “completely lost.” “I don’t know where I am,” he continues.

He then took out his cell phone, but it only had five percent battery left, so he quickly typed in the hotel. But then came the surprise: he was an hour and 40 minutes away from it. “What do I do now?” he says, and decided to just walk. He soon spotted a field and was delighted: “Ha! A shortcut!” So he set off across the field, only to soon find himself in increasingly tall grass. “I can’t walk through this tall grass, I’ll get bitten by a snake or something.”

Jimmy Fallon gets lost on vacation in Bavaria: Late-night show host asks for help

So Fallon went back to what he thought was the main road. But suddenly he found himself on a motorway with cars speeding past. He decided to hitchhike, something he would not advise his followers to do: “Don’t do that, it’s dangerous.” But even so, the presenter of the “Tonight Show”, which has become almost legendary in the USA, couldn’t get any further – because nobody stopped. So he continued on foot and passed a workshop where men were working on a car. He asked them for directions: “You have to climb over this fence. Then you have to go through this field and then climb over a fence again,” were the directions. The star presenter then looks anything but enthusiastic into the camera.

World star gets lost on vacation in Bavaria: Leon and his mom drive him back to the hotel

But he was lucky because he was recognized: “You look a bit like Jimmy Fallon,” said one of the two. They took a photo together before the American put everything on the line: “Could you drive me?” The boy didn’t have a driver’s license, but his mother offered to drive Fallon to the hotel. The late-night show host was delighted with the car ride. A great radio station was playing “Killer Queen” by Queen in the old Volkswagen with the roof down. They sang along and had a good time, which is also shown in a video of the journey taken by Fallon.

“This is Bavaria, this is great and they drove me back to the hotel. Thank you Leon, thank you mom! I will never forget you (..) And now I’m in love with Bavaria. I always thought I would love it, but now I’m just… wow!” At the end he invites Leon and his mom to the “Tonight Show” if they are ever in New York.

Jimmy Fallon’s Bavarian fans are excited about the story. “Imagine looking out the window and seeing Jimmy Fallon wandering around your garden, disoriented” or “Imagine you’re in Bavaria, doing your job in a workshop and Jimmy Fallon is standing in front of you in one of the videos,” are just two of the comments. “That’s one of the longest shortest stories,” laughs one fan about the six-minute video. Many wish the star presenter a lot of fun in Bavaria. (came)
