Jakarta (ANTARA) – The Central Jakarta Sub-dept for Food, Marine and Agricultural Security (KPKP Sub-dept) provides free sterilization and vaccination for Rabies Contagious Animals (HPR) which are the pets of residents.
“Especially today, we have vaccinated as many as 90 HPRs. Then for sterilization we collaborate with animal clinics, there are already 30 male cats and 5 female cats that will be sterilized,” said (Plt) Head of the KPKP Sub-Department Suharini Eliawaty. when contacted, Wednesday.
There are three clinics in Central Jakarta that collaborate on vaccination and sterilization in commemoration of World Rabies Day, namely Jakarta Vet Cideng owned by drh Gunawan, Glourius Pet and Pet + Vet owned by drh Eka in Karet Tengsin, Tanah Abang.
Similar activities were also carried out in four other urban areas, namely South Jakarta, West Jakarta, East Jakarta and North Jakarta.

Especially in the Central Jakarta area, the woman who is familiarly called Elly said that there would be a peak event to coincide with the holding of World Rabies Day on Monday (28/9) with the “drive thru” vaccination at the KPKP DKI Jakarta Office Building located on Jalan Gunung Sahari, Jakarta. Center.
“Later on the 28th we will have vaccinations and ‘drive thru’ checks. We want to follow health protocols not to create crowds. So later Jakarta residents can come using their vehicles and we will check the animals directly with the ‘drive thru’ method,” said Elly. .
In Central Jakarta as of Wednesday 2,516 animals have been vaccinated against rabies to prevent the spread of the rabies virus. Namely 783 dogs, 1,708 cats, 9 monkeys and 6 ferrets.
