The fifth Indiana Jones movie, The Dial of Destiny, will premiere at the Cannes Film Festival in May. According to Variety there are plans for a first screening on the second or third day of the festival.
Last year, a Hollywood blockbuster also premiered in Cannes. Then it mattered Top Gun: Maverick. That film eventually grossed almost $ 1.5 billion and was nominated for an Oscar in the best picture category.
In Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny 80-year-old Harrison Ford plays the title role for the fifth and final time. The actor previously indicated that he is saying goodbye to the iconic character.
The first four films were directed by Steven Spielberg. The fifth volume was created by James Mangold. Other roles are played by Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Mads Mikkelsen and Dutch bodybuilder Olivier Richters.
