One month after the postponement of World of Warcraft: Shadowlands, Blizzard has announced a new release date. The expansion is now coming on November 24, the developer announces in a press release.
On the game’s website Chief Producer John Hight would like to thank everyone who has been waiting patiently for Shadowlands and those who have contributed feedback from both the beta testing and the pre-patch update.
According to Hight, the extra development time has been used for polishing, as well as overhauling the game’s “endgame” content.
– Since we first told you about our decision to postpone, we have spent the time refining the expansion and fixing the “endgame” experience. This includes overhauling battles and rewards in the Maw, and adjusting the Covenant systems so that choices have an immediate effect and clearer long-term goals.
With the Shadowlands date set, Blizzard has also decided when the undead Scourge faction will invade the world. The traditional pre-expansion scheme will now take place on 10 November.
Furthermore, the developer announces that the first Shadowlands raid, Castle Nathria, will open on December 8. In the video window at the top of the article, you can see a taste of the story this expansion will tell.
Cyberpunk 2077 is coming this December.
