As reported in a letter from the attending physician of the President of the United States, on February 16, after a complete examination of the body and a biopsy, the affected tissues on the chest were removed from Joe Biden. No further treatment was required. The type of cancer that the US national leader defeated is called “basal cell carcinoma.”
The report states that basal cell carcinoma usually does not lead to metastases. However, Biden will need to undergo further examinations of the area of the body where the malignancy originally appeared.
