President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received today, Tuesday, Tedros Adhanom, Director General of the World Health Organization, in the presence of Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Health and Population.
The Director-General of the World Health Organization expressed his honor to meet the President, praising Egypt’s national efforts in the field of health care, in particular the various presidential initiatives under the aegis of “100 Million Seha”, which have contributed significantly to the improvement of health services for Egyptian citizens, in particular by combating viral hepatitis “C”, as well as various other miscellaneous initiatives, such as the initiative to end patient waiting lists for critical surgery and medical interventions , the Kidney Disease Early Detection Initiative, the Egyptian Women’s Health Initiative and the Children’s Health Initiatives, emphasizing the World Health Organization’s interest in strengthening cooperation with Egypt in this framework allows us to benefit from the Egyptian experience, as it is one of the main experiences at an international level.
