Michael Smith can prepare for his third World Cup final. The Englishman established himself in the semifinals with Gabriel Clemens, the first German ever in the World Cup semifinals. The decisive moment comes after the 3-2 in favor of Smith. Bossy boy Clemens managed to break through the target for 4-2. This proved to be decisive, as Smith then claimed a 6-2 win.
Smith was also in the World Cup final in 2019 and last year. The Englishman lost both finals, first to Van Gerwen last year to Peter Wright.
