Chelsea legend Tony Cascarino has criticized German defender Antonio Rudiger for taunting Japanese striker Takuma Asano during Wednesday’s 2-1 FIFA World Cup 2022 defeat.
Japan came from within a goal to beat Germany in their World Cup opener in Group E.
Ilkay Gundogan scored the opener for Germany, but two second-half goals from Ritsu Doan and Takuma Asano gave Japan victory.
However, in the bout, Rudiger pulled off a cartoonish bizarre run in the run against Asano before driving the ball out of play.
But Cascarino was not happy with Rudiger and was quick to point out the Real Madrid star’s mocking run, saying he laughed as he ran.
“Rudiger laughs at his stance against Asano, it was a weird running style, but he laughed as he ran,” Cascarino told TalkSPORT.
