The 2022 FIFA World Cup Final between Argentina and France will also see superstars Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappé duel. The Argentina captain and France forward have dominated the tournament so far, leading the scoring charts with five goals each.
Both play in Qatar-supported French top club Paris Saint-Germain, which hosts the World Cup. While Sunday’s final at Lusail Stadium is Messi’s last chance to win soccer’s biggest title in his fifth World Cup, Mbappé could be crowned World Cup champion for a second time at the age of 23 . The 35-year-old Messi is well ahead of the two superstars in terms of international games and goals. Mbappé, on the other hand, has so far collected the most goalscorer points in this World Cup.

Soccer fans in Germany are gifting Argentine superstar Lionel Messi a possible first World Cup triumph in Sunday’s final against defending champions France.
In a poll by the voting app “FanQ” commissioned by SID, the 35-year-old is the best player in the round of 16 of the World Cup with 63.1% of the vote. Outstanding French player Kylian Mbappe follows in second place on the table (13.6%).
57.2% also answered the question of whether Messi would have been the greatest footballer in history if he had won the World Cup with a “yes”. With 62.3 per cent, Argentina is the favorite against the French in the final. 47.1 percent find Argentina’s participation in the final “deserved”, 22.1 percent “deserved”. Among the French, 33.9% consider the transfer as “deserved” and 33.0% as “deserved”.

But who will win the final is not yet clear for the German fans. 35% of respondents believe France will be world champions again in Sunday’s match. 34% said Argentina would win the final. This is the result of a representative survey by opinion research institute YouGov. 31% did not make a statement.
