Doha > GCC nationals and Gulf expats can enter Qatar without HAYA card and World Cup match ticket. Those arriving by plane will have access from Tuesday. The Ministry of the Interior has also communicated that from Thursday those arriving by road will be able to enter.
Meanwhile, a match ticket and HAYA card are mandatory to watch football matches inside the stadium. Ticket holders for the match must register via the Haya online platform. All passengers can enter the country by bus as usual through land borders. Parking spaces are provided free of charge to visitors. Access will also be allowed across the land border using private vehicles. However, the travel permit must be requested at least 12 hours before the trip on the website of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. No fee is required for the vehicle permit. Entry through land borders will take place from the 8th of this month.
The Home Affairs Ministry said the move aims to provide opportunities for visitors, citizens and residents of GCC countries to enjoy FIFA World Cup matches and entertainment events. The Interior Ministry has announced that ticketless fans will be allowed to enter Qatar from December 2 if they provide a hotel reservation and an entry fee of 500 Qatari riyals in their Haya card application. This has been completely changed and the new decision is to provide free entry.
