CONAKRY- Following the draw for the African zone qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup, FIFA unveiled the combinations on Tuesday, August 29, 2023. Guinea starts with a game at home. Kaba Diawara and his players know where to turn in the qualifying campaign for the World Cup Canada – Mexico – United States. Housed in group G, the Syli National shares its pool with Algeria, Uganda, Mozambique, Botswana and Somalia.
The qualifiers for FIFA’s flagship competition will begin in November 2023 and end in October 2025. In this adventure, Guinea will start with a home match against Uganda before traveling to Botswana. These two matches will be played in November 2023. For the rest of the calendar, there will be a trip to Algeria.

The Canada-Mexico-USA World Cup qualifiers will be played in a nine-team, six-team format. The first of each group will be automatically qualified. The four best runners-up will play a mini-tournament and the winner will play in the FIFA intercontinental play-offs.
