In the shortlist of 35 players shortlisted for the 2023 World Cup, ten players come from clubs MHB (Montpellier Handball) and USAM Nîmes.
Two months before the start of the 2023 IHF World Cup (International Handball Federation), each team must provide the International Handball Federation with a tentative list of 35 players who could be among the twenty selected to compete in the championship.
France has just unveiled this famous list. Ten of them play for the Montpellier Handball and USAM Nîmes clubs.
Charles Bolzinger, Valentin Porte, Julien Bos, Rémi Desbonnet, Hugo Descat, Karl Konan, Yanis Lenne or even Kyllian Villeminot for the MHB. Luc Tobie and Jean-Jacques Acquevillo for USAM Nîmes.
But this first list is only a preselection.
Meeting in mid-December: Coach Guillaume Gille will summon twenty players to come and prepare at the end of December in Paris for the big match of the year 2023, as indicated by the French handball federation in a press release.
On 11 January the team will have to be ready to face the first opponent in group B: Poland.
