This tragic incident happened in Tirupati district of Andhra Pradesh. Software engineer Jyoti Kumar Yadav (32) suffered cardiac arrest after watching India lose to Australia in the final.
Jyoti Kumar reportedly became emotional after seeing Indian captain Rohit Sharma crying. According to family members, he collapsed while watching television at his home in Durgasamudram village in Tirupati rural mandal. He was immediately taken to Ruia Hospital in Tirupati, where doctors declared him dead.
The son of a retired employee of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams, Yadav was soon to get married. Meanwhile, Tirupati Urban Development Authority Chairman Mohit Reddy visited Yadav’s house on Monday and condoled his demise.

On the other hand, a news is also coming from West Bengal. Disappointed with Team India’s defeat in the final match, a 23-year-old youth committed suicide. The youth has been identified as Rahul Lohar, a resident of Beliatore in Bankura district of West Bengal. Rahul was a staunch fan of cricket.
The family members have claimed that Rahul died due to India’s defeat in cricket. He told that Rahul used to work at a saree shop, but on the day of the World Cup match, instead of going to work, he started watching cricket on the big screen near the cinema hall.
Rahul had become very depressed after India’s defeat in the final. Due to depression, Rahul committed suicide by hanging himself in his house. At night, Rahul’s brother saw that his elder brother’s body was hanging. The body was taken down and taken to Beliatore Hospital, where doctors declared him dead.
