Energy, loans, food – almost all areas of social life are affected by price increases. On the occasion of World Consumer Day on March 15, 2023, the consumer centers are offering information, tips and free online events to support consumers in the price crisis. The consumer center of Lower Saxony is participating with five online lectures on March 14, 15 and 16, 2023. The topics range from real estate financing to tips for grocery shopping, fake shops and in-app purchases to emergency aid and price brakes.
What began with the energy price crisis has developed into a comprehensive price crisis within a few months. Some consumers are able to cope with the price increases and are taking the crisis as an opportunity to get actively involved in the energy transition. But not everyone can afford construction measures as a way to independence from fossil energy sources. Quite the contrary: the energy price crisis and the resulting inflation have become an ever-increasing financial burden for more and more people.
