“At the moment, planning can only be done every four weeks,” writes BigCityBeats CEO Bernd Breiter in his statement. After the Eventim Live group around the SonneMondSterne Festival had declared the festival summer 2021 to have failed, the organizers of PAROOKAVILLE and the WORLD CLUB DOME followed suit today.
The Las Vegas edition of the festival is to take place on the first weekend in September in Frankfurt’s Deutsche Bank Park. The organizers and stadium operators have agreed on this date. Acts like resident and shooting star Le Shuuk, Robin Schulz or Timmy Trumpet are expected in Frankfurt on September 3rd, 4th and 5th.

Hope for herd immunity
“But there are still six months until the beginning of September – and a lot will happen in Germany during that time. By then we may have achieved herd immunity, ”said Breiter.
However, due to the very volatile pandemic situation, it is quite uncertain whether a World Club Dome can already be held in June. Therefore, build on autumn. There is no guarantee of failure as it exists for festivals in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, for example, in Hesse either.
Hygiene concept and on-site testing?
For the WORLD CLUB DOME in September 2021 there will be a hygiene and safety concept in any case. This should then also be worked out and coordinated with health authorities and regulatory agencies.
“We will include all possible security measures at the time in our planning in order to protect the visitors,” said Breiter, who would not rule out on-site corona tests and electronic detection of negative infection. The Hanau organizer also says that the WCD is “Either as usual – or not at all.”
With the World Club Dome, the next organizer has now created facts for the festival summer. Planning security, as it has been created by the state in countries like the Netherlands or Austria, has not yet existed in Germany, despite promises made by the ministries.
