DOETINCHEM – Alzheimer Trefpunt is organizing a special edition of the Alzheimer Trefpunt at Streeckgenoot at Sprinbaan 21A in Doetinchem. World Alzheimer’s Day is a special day, it is a theme day to promote worldwide attention for the disease dementia. The theme this year is ‘Together at the Table’.
The Alzheimer Trefpunt Doetinchem has conceived the plan to have World Alzheimer’s Day ‘together at the table’ on September 21. “We offer the target group – people with dementia and/or informal carers – a three-course meal at an affordable price, in which music therapist Fleur Taken tells and lets people experience how important music can be for people with dementia. A great way for fellow sufferers to get in touch with each other for a longer period of time with a theme that guarantees a relaxed atmosphere. The Alzheimer Trefpunt Doetinchem has succeeded in realizing this plan. Streeckgenoot on the Spinbaan in Doetinchem is a cozy location where everyone can feel at home. The municipalities of Doetinchem, Oude IJsselstreek, Bronckhorst and Montferland, together with the Alzheimer Trefpunt Doetinchem, make it financially possible to offer this event at a very accessible price. The municipalities think it is a great initiative that the Alzheimer Trefpunt Doetinchem organizes this event and support it financially.”
Check-in is from 5:30 p.m. The program starts at 5.45 pm. The closure is around 8.30 pm.
