Al Qasar’s “Promises”: A Collaborative Masterpiece
The international collective Al-Qasar’s new album, Undercover (released late November), is a sonic tapestry weaving together Middle Eastern grooves, american psychedelia, and North African trance. The album features seven tracks, including covers of songs by Sean Paul and Depeche Mode. For “promises,” Al-Qasar collaborated with Malian singer Mamani keïta and Cheik Tidiane Seck, creating a powerful electric soundscape.
