Sana’a-Saba: The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Aquatic Resources in Sanaa organized a technical workshop in the area of ​​fundamentals, rules, conditions and controls for the development of general guidelines for agricultural and fisheries financing according to the Quranic methodology.

The workshop discussed the integration policy between the agricultural, banking and financial sectors, which is seen as a crucial step in promoting comprehensive development, improving agricultural production and providing adequate financing to farmers to purchase modern agricultural goods and modernize their agricultural techniques can.

In the workshop, the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources, Dr. Radwan Al-Rubai, the Ministry’s financial management policies aimed at increasing efficiency in the use of financial resources.

He pointed out that the ministry is focused on facilitating the mechanism for farmers to obtain the necessary credit and financing in collaboration with banks and financial institutions to obtain low-interest loans to support agricultural and fisheries projects.

Al-Rubai noted the importance of applying strict financial control standards to ensure transparency in the management of funds allocated to agricultural and fisheries projects, thereby ensuring that the funds are used effectively to achieve desired objectives. He stressed that rural development plays an important part of the financing policy, as the ministry contributes to providing funds for infrastructure development for rural communities, such as irrigation and land improvement projects.

He discussed the importance of investing in research and development and emphasized the need to allocate part of the funds to support scientific research in the areas of improving agricultural production, irrigation techniques and environmental sustainability, which contributes to the development of the agriculture and fishing industries long term.

The Agriculture Minister explained that the ministry is working to strengthen lending policies for agriculture and fisheries as they aim to support sustainable development in agriculture and fisheries and improve infrastructure.

He emphasized the need to support agricultural inputs and requirements and ensure that farmers and fishermen can access them without incurring significant financial burdens. In addition, investments in local production of agricultural inputs must be promoted and dependence on imports reduced.

The workshop was attended by researchers, engineers and specialists, during which forms were distributed to flesh out their proposals on the scientific principles, rules and standards necessary for the development of general guidelines for agricultural and fisheries financing in the light of the Quranic methodology .
