Works. The Luxembourg route finally reopened

Since Monday, November 2, we could no longer enter Thionville via the Luxembourg route, in Manom, which runs along the park of the castle of La Grange. Traffic was in fact limited to a single outgoing lane due to major sanitation works.

Since this Friday, noon, the Luxembourg road has finally reopened in both directions of traffic. A relief for the many users of this artery.

“The objective was to replace sewage and rainwater collectors over 230 meters long. The inhabitants of the area will avoid any trouble, ”said Jean-Paul Gaillot, deputy mayor of Manom. Because seeing the state of the Luxembourg road sewerage network, problems would have arrived sooner or later. As sanitation is a community competence, it is the Portes de France-Thionville agglomeration that financed the site: nearly € 400,000 worth of work set to music by the company Muller TP.
