Users of the A31 will take their precautions, and also their troubles patiently: from September 7, the Dir-Est is undertaking repair work on the Richemont motorway bridge, in the Thionville-Metz direction. This involves repairing the abutment of the structure (in other words the support pillars) and changing the road seal. At first, traffic will not be disrupted: at most, the speed will be lowered at the site of the site. This is why the journey times are already displayed on the light panels.
Serious things are expected three times, while the A31 will be closed to allow business intervention. Only the North-South direction is concerned, but when we know that 34,000 vehicles use this crossing point every day (including 12% heavy goods vehicles), we tell ourselves that the repercussions will not be neutral. Fortunately, to mitigate the disturbances, the Dir-Est will intervene at night.

September 14-16 and 23-25: 9 p.m. to 6 a.m.
The motorway will first be closed every night from September 14 to 16 and from September 23 to 25 (9 p.m. to 6 a.m.). Motorists should then take the Guénange-Bertrange exit ramp and then follow the deviation onto the RD60. It will take them to the A30 at Uckange, from where it will be possible to catch up with the A31.

From Saturday 19 (8 p.m.) to Monday 21 (6 a.m.)
Traffic will also be interrupted throughout the third weekend of the month, from Saturday 19 (8 p.m.) to Monday 21 (6 a.m.). As before, motorists must take the Guénange-Bertrange exit. However, traffic on the RD 60 between Uckange and Guénange will be prohibited. The choice fell on this weekend because it is the least crowded in September.
The last time traffic was cut off at this location was summer 2018.
