Launched in 2017 for the 500th anniversary of Le Havre, the event quickly found its audience. Five years later, the craze is still there. So the meeting will be renewed again this year. In the top 3 favorite works of visitors in 2021: The moon landed in Le Havre by Arthur Gosse (which will ultimately be made permanent) at Square Saint-Roch, Down John by Pierre Delavie quai Southampton and the nine tattooed sculptures by Fabio Viale on the seafront.
The Taste of Others is back!
After a 2021 edition offered only online health crisis obliges, Le Goût des autres is back in Le Havre! The eleventh edition of the free literary festival created in 2012 will take place from Thursday 20 to Sunday 23 January in ten places in the city. Nearly 80 events will be offered to the public. About fifty artists will be present. Among them: Leïla Slimani, Guillaume Gallienne, Christine Angot, Mazarine Pingeot…

150 years of HAC
1872-2022: 150 years of history, 150 years of football in Ciel & Marine. 2022 will mark the 150th anniversary of the creation of the oldest club then called Le Havre football club. For the occasion, the HAC has put on sale a collector’s jersey with gold letters. Events for the time being kept secret will mark this year.
Gymnasiades in Normandy
Two years before the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games will be held, the Olympic Games, for 3,500 high school students aged between 15 and 18, coaches and referees, will take place in Normandy from May 14 to 22, organized by organized by the Union Nationale du Sport Scolaire (UNSS) with the support of the Interministerial Delegation for Major International Sports Events. Events will be held in Le Havre and Montivilliers.
French women’s tournament at the Stade Océane
The second edition of the Tournoi de France, organized by the French Football Federation, will be held from February 16 to 22, 2022 in Normandy, Caen and Le Havre. The French women’s team, defending champion and currently 4th in the FIFA rankings, will face Brazil (7th), Finland (28th) and the Netherlands (5th). These three matches will be broadcast live on W9. Three matches will be played at the Stade Océane in Le Havre. Note that this will be the first meeting of the year for the players of Corinne Deacon who will compete against very high level teams. According to Le Havre athletic club, this is a great way to promote women’s sport in the region, but also to launch the 150th anniversary of the HAC.
POLITICS
Legislative elections
After the presidential election which will take place on April 10 and 24, 2022, the French will return to the polls on June 12 and 19 to appoint the 577 deputies in the legislative elections. In the region of Le Havre, Agnès Firmin Le Bodo (Horizons) is currently the deputy for the 7th constituency, Jean-Paul Lecoq (PCF) the elected for the 8th constituency and Stéphanie Kerbarh (LaRem) the representative for the 9th constituency.
